Connect 2008 a Great Success

JRD was an exhibitor at Connect 2008 along with many other leading companies in the Radio Communication industry.

JRD in partnership with Telstra gave a talk on "An approach to conservation of radiofrequency spectrum in a public safety environment" on Day One of Connect 2008, November 18, 2008.

Members of JRD who took part in the talk were Dr. Kemal Ajay, Chief Design Engineer (pictured far left) and Bob Rogers, Director of Engineering (pictured second from left).

Gala Dinner
JRD as a member of ARCIA (Australian Radio Communications Industry Association),played a part in the Gala dinner by having several of its staff,who are also members of the ARCIA Committee,present various awards,including one (New Talent Award) to Nick Kelly,who works as an apprentice with JRD.

Awards handed out were as follows:

New Talent Award Presented by Robert van Wijk - Vice Chair of ARCIA and Commercial Manager of JRD and Takeshi Aoki,MD of ICOM Australia, to Nick Kelly, from JRD.
Customer Service Award Presented by Stephen Reining - ARCIA Committee member and Service Manager, JRD, and Katrine Lutze,from CRS, to Jason Cox from Tait Electronics.
Engineering Elegance Award Presented by Bob Rogers, Director of JRD and Chris Kelly from Telstra,to Richard Lyons from Blue Mountain Communications.
